In a globalised world that is beginning to defragment, it seems that talking about international trade is something contemporary, but nothing could be further from the truth. It is probably one of the oldest jobs, since, if we think back, we remember how the Romans, Greeks and Phoenicians told us about the voyages they made to bring materials and raw materials from their lands to other parts of the world.<\/p>

In this post, we will analyse whether it has the\u00a0international trade a job opportunity<\/strong>. We will explore the current opportunities and challenges in this field, how the evolution of global trade influences the labour market and what skills are needed to excel.\u00a0<\/p>

Which sectors or economies are part of international trade?\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>

Attempting to summarise everything that makes up the\u00a0international trade, exports, agreements, imports, etc...<\/strong>\u00a0is somewhat complex as there are more than 200\u00a0economies and regions<\/strong>\u00a0from all over the world. The same happens if we want to know in which sectors I will work if I train in international trade, since there are more than 8 sub-sectors that in the period 2005-2023 have been part of international trade, so the\u00a0employment opportunities\u00a0<\/strong>are numerous and varied.<\/p>

What is the impact of geopolitics on international trade?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>

The opening of new\u00a0markets<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a0Asia<\/strong>\u00a0and the tensions between\u00a0China<\/strong>\u00a0y\u00a0USA<\/strong>\u00a0have been decisive in ensuring that the\u00a0western and eastern economies<\/strong>\u00a0The EU's exports and imports will be affected. In addition, the\u00a0war conflicts<\/strong>The most common problems experienced in the\u00a0Europe<\/strong>North Africa and in\u00a0Middle East<\/strong>\u00a0have consequences in a number of areas that affect the whole of society.\u00a0supply chain<\/strong>\u00a0of raw materials, mobility,\u00a0logistics<\/strong>\u00a0and political agreements. This is why it is key to have a\u00a0university education<\/strong>\u00a0if you want to be a professional\u00a0executive<\/strong>\u00a0of international trade.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

What skills do I need to study if I want to work in international trade?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>

Let's start with the basics: the\u00a0communication<\/strong>. In an interconnected world, knowing how to communicate efficiently in several different\u00a0languages<\/strong>\u00a0is the first step. If you want to be able to establish agreements between companies, countries anywhere in the world, you must have your soft skills very well trained, therefore, working on subjects such as\u00a0Communication<\/strong>,\u00a0Sociology<\/strong>\u00a0y\u00a0Business Management is fundamental.<\/strong>\u00a0Of course,\u00a0English, French and German.<\/strong><\/p>

Other very important subjects\u00a0are geopolitics, security and defence, diplomacy and marketing\u00a0<\/strong>Sometimes we even forget that\u00a0consulates<\/strong>,\u00a0embassies<\/strong>\u00a0have a key role to play in the\u00a0commercial agreements<\/strong>\u00a0between the countries and that the work of these diplomatic professionals\u00a0international relations graduates<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is essential.<\/p>

What is the impact of digitalisation on international trade?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>

The\u00a0digitisation<\/strong>\u00a0The growth of trade has increased trade transactions globally. E-commerce is undoubtedly one of the channels that is revolutionising international trade. This goes hand in hand with the knowledge of\u00a0logistics<\/strong>. Information systems and the iartificial intelligence<\/strong>l are also opening up new areas of knowledge within the world of\u00a0international relations<\/strong>\u00a0and therefore of the\u00a0trade<\/strong>\u00a0worldwide.<\/p>

We live in a\u00a0change of cycle<\/strong>\u00a0that is causing every day changes in the way we relate to each other.\u00a0countries<\/strong>\u00a0and affecting trade relations. Perhaps the\u00a0commercial agreements<\/strong>\u00a0that exist today will be changed in the near future, even bilateral organisations such as the\u00a0UN<\/strong>the\u00a0NATO<\/strong>\u00a0,\u00a0Alliances<\/strong>\u00a0between countries are becoming more and more important in the\u00a0media<\/strong>\u00a0for its leading role in the\u00a0new world order<\/strong>.
